OVERVIEW

POLYCOM OBi302 IGNITION PROCESS

The following is for ignition of the Polycom OBi302 ATA adaptors where the version is 3.2.X onwards. From these version onwards access to the GUI via the internet (WAN) port is off by default. Connection via GUI can be made to the device is via the LAN port using direct connection. 

The LAN port will distribute a DHCP address to your PC for direct connection. Default IP address of the OBi302 LAN is 192.168.10.1

LAN PORT ACCESS & ADDRESSING:

The LAN port of the OBi302 is 192.168.10.1 by default. Connection of a LAN cable from this port on the OBi302 direct to your PC will allow GUI access. Enter this address into a web browser for access.

INITIAL LOGIN CREDENTIALS

Default parameters can be used to login to the OBi GUI interface, there are 2 levels from default admin and user

For security on initial login you will be prompted to update the password.

Please ensure the password is safe. The device will be accessible from the internet

PASSWORD UPDATING

OBi Menu Tree Item: System Management

The passwords can be updated in System Management -> Device Admin
Changing passwords add additional security to the device. We suggest changing both the ADMIN and USER accounts.

FIRMWARE

Ensure the Obihai firmware is upgraded to the newest version available. See the currently recommended firmware link below.

Once downloaded you can complete the upgrade via the System Management -> Firmware Update menu:

GUI ACCESS VIA  INTERNET PORT (WAN):

For registration of service the INTERNET port must be connected. This port will obtain a DHCP address.

Connecting the OBI302's INTERNET to the local network switch, the administration web pages (GUI) login is disabled by default. For access to the GUI via the INTERNET (WAN) port, you are required to enable the feature Access from WAN.  This is located within the System Management -> Device Admin
Note: Service Web page admin from the lan side is always allowed and cannot be disabled

Enabling this option will allow access from the internet, Ensure the login password is secure
